A Construction Coordinator with over forty years of accomplishments in the Entertainment Industry, at Edwards Air Force Base, as an Electrical Journeyman and in the U.S. Army. An extensive background in managing large-scale projects that require complex planning and communication among professionals of diverse backgrounds. Interested in a position to utilize the full range of my proven capabilities. QUALIFICATIONS
Over thirty years of experience in the Entertainment Industry. Oversee construction, carpentry, painting and electrical crews of up to 100. Interact with producers, directors, production designers and art directors. Confer and consult on matters pertaining to construction budgets of up to 12MM, schedules, logistics and production communications.
Detailed knowledge of projects from blueprint to completed construction. Communicate clearly with crews to achieve specific goals. Conduct quality control, assure on-site safety, and troubleshoot on emergencies. Work extensively with electrical, plumbing, framing, concrete and interior built-in contractors and vendors. Order supplies and equipment, and prepare payrolls.
Successful experience in writing contracts, planning projects, bid procedures, sub contracting and contract negotiations. State License #383770. Secure all necessary permits, licenses and inspections from city and county offices.
Highly familiar with resource’s requirement’s, mechanic's lien law’s, workman's compensations, union requirements and both state and Federal building codes. Member of IATSE, Local 44, Los Angeles, California, (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees, IBEW Local 6, (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)
Nearly three years of experiences at Edwards Air Force Base. Promoted from Worker Order Team and Fire Suppression Shop to Head Electrical Planner and Communication Tsar with DEMRP. Planned all electrical projects on base, served as liaison between base personnel and outside contractors. Also, served as liaison between Base Engineering Squadron and Communication Squadron.
Experience in pavements as Heavy Equipment Operator with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Built LTL7A and QL4, two main highways in the Mekong Delta.
