I am on a mission to become the best part of me since 1995.
Joining Local 44 was a great move!
Before hand,Holding a B-General Contracting License along with C-39,C-65,D-36 Pool & Spa Cirtifications from most major manufacturing companies.NSPF certified
Service tech with a Licence in Electrial in Texas where i started a thriving Business.
Later passing that on to my x-wife and now helping my son take things in his own hands.
Being in the Prop Making field for the greater part of my career,I never realized how quick time goes in Movie making.
Time is so precious! lots of good times!
I have worked as a Journeyman/Gangboss/Foreman for most of my years.I have now entered into the office as a purchaser.
In the early years when my kids were young,I did not want to work as much. So i could spend my valuable time with them.coaching in sports etc.So glad i did that.
Since they have grown, my responsibilities have changed.Now its the grandkids turn.
I now work on communicating with the Coordinator and the General Foreman to help create the very best uplifting experiences.With great challenges and new horizons.I have been lucky enough to work for amazing Coordinators,such as Dave Cannon and Karen Higgins, now since 2019, as a purchaser.
I work well with Microsoft Excel.Google Docs, PO Logs and keeping things ready and organized.
I work well in the DPO. I create orders and making sure to emailing Vendors.this way everyone is happy.
I usually do all the Set and EP coding for the show. Some things will get moved around.
I like to get with the Art Dept Coord.and Set Dec. to figure out the signage.Thats still a challenge.
I am able to keep up with all the orders needed along with being exceptionally organized. maybe a little OCD but it works.Since i have started,I have provided everything needed in the time frame given.
All the vendors I work with have been great to work with and I have a good relationship with. getting them the PO #s they need and we get what we are looking for.
