Max Bozeman, longtime Local 44 member and staunch union advocate passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends after a year and a half battle with Prostate Cancer. He was 56. He was born in Marietta, Georgia on April 10, 1968 to parents Joni Teagarten and Robert Bozeman. He moved to California when he was just two years old, and has lived off and on in California until his passing. He briefly lived in Hawaii, and moved back to Atlanta for a short period of time. However, he spent most of his life in Los Angeles, where he began working in the film industry 30 plus years ago as a prop master and a part of many crews. During his time as a part of Local 44 he was a strong supporter for the union, and created his own 51 percent vote campaign in 2019. He worked on movies, shows and commercials throughout his time with Local 44, including Hawaii 5-0, Minority Report, and Jumanji 2 just to name a few. He is survived by his ex-wife Leigh, and children Seamus (22) and Luna (9). There will be a memorial ceremony held in his honor on January 19th 2025 at 12 p.m. at Loma Alta Park in Altadena, California.
