In Loving Memory Of
Salvatore Vincent Esposto
May 24, 1941 – February 28, 2018

Sam Esposto, 76, passed away on February 28, 2018, after a long battle with Cancer.

He was Born in New York, and raised in Southern California.

After graduating from John Burroughs High School, he served in the Army in Germany as a Sargent in the tank corps. He was very proud that his unit was involved in President Kennedy's visit to Germany. Upon his return to the states, following his military service, he worked in the family vending machine business with his father and brothers.

Some years later an opportunity was presented to go to work in the studios, where he worked on a variety of feature films like “The Hunt for Red October” the “Beverly Hills Cops” movies, Goonies and many more. He eventually ended up working on both the Star Trek TV series (14 years) and the movies, at Paramount Studios, from where he retired.

He was an active Union Member of Local 44. Served as a Propmaker, Shop Steward and as an Executive Board Member for several terms. He also made many trips to Sacramento dealing with Congress on Union issues. As a Union retiree, he enjoyed the annual Vegas trips and was lucky on the raffles and at the poker tables.

His hobbies included: Racing drag boats – setting a world record that “lasted the shortest time in history.” Water skiing on the Colorado River. Long range deep sea fishing in Mexico. Tuna tournaments in Cabo San Lucas Mexico.

Sam is survived by his partner and long-time friend, a daughter, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 deceased, and a sister.

As Sam would say, “I did it My Way.” Like his favorite song from Frank Sinatra. He felt it summed up his life's motto.
