Doug Pettibone passed away January 8, 2019.  He was born June 29, 1924 in Hollywood, CA to Myrtle and Wells Pettibone.

Doug spent his lifetime in the San Fernando Valley, attending grammar school in Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys high school.  At the age of 17 he started working at Paramount Studios in the prop shop where his Dad was employed.  Eventually he moved to other studios and on to the Special Effects Dept-at Warner Bros. working on many big movies during his time- Shane, The Graduate, White Christmas, Blazing Saddles, War of the Worlds, also going Bonanza, Harry O, Kung Fu and other TV shows- Retiring in 1986 to enjoy fishing with his boys.

He is survived by his wife Dodie, of 67 years, sons John, Ron (Laurie), Doug Jr. (Liz), Grandchildren, Tony, Courtney, Ryan, Hudson and Barry Wells.
