I am the daughter of the late Mr. Fred Z. Gebler a very longtime, proud member of local 44.
My father passed away on 2/18/10.
He was a Special Effects Coordinator for over 30 years and had retired 18 years ago.
He did TV and film. Underwater work, pyrotechnics, models etc...
Some movies: "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", "Tora, Tora, Tora", "Gotcha" and many more
Some TV: "Quincy MD", "Remington Steele", "thirtysomething", "Masada-TV movie" and many others
He enjoyed 18 years of retirement in San Diego with his late wife (of over 50 years), my mom, Liz Gebler who passed away 2 years ago.
He is survived by 2 brothers, myself (Ellen Rose) and my husband Eric and his grandson, Max.
