

Gerard John Fitzpatrick, Jerry to those who knew and loved him, passed away October 31, 2010 in his home. He was born February 14, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Barbara Fitzpatrick. He was an outstanding Marine serving his country in Korea. He remained a Marine in spirit his entire life. After he left the service while working for Bekins Co. as a top salesman; he was an actor in Hollywood then went into the production aspect of film and TV. Serving on the executive board he was a member of the Local 44 of the I.A.T.S.E. from which he retired with the highest honors an individual could achieve. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild. He was a private pilot, a toast master, an auctioneer for benefits, and he played Santa Claus to children for the Optimist Club. He always made people smile in response to his own. After a rich and full life in California he left to live the mountains of Idaho. He was a rugged individual who when he chose something to do, did it first class, always. He left Idaho to settle here (Arkansas) with his family. He is survived by his siblings Joseph T. Fitzpatrick, Kay Gregoria and Joan Kennedy. His loving family also includes Traci and Tony Johnson and their children Liam and Carlen all of Hot Springs, Barbara Mullen of Montana, Jerry Fitzpatrick, Leslie and Geoff Klish of Connecticut, and Celeste Fitzpatrick of New Jersey. He has many great nieces and nephews who love him dearly. Included in the list of survivors are those who loved him as a treasured family member, they can never all be listed.
