Philip David Tubach was born September 15, 1964, in Denver, CO to Paul D. and Marian S. Tubach. He died February 7, 2014, in Glendale, CA. He grew up in Tariffville, CT, a neighborhood in the town of Simsbury, CT and attended Simsbury High School. He completed his schooling with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 1987. After graduation, Philip moved to Los Angeles and started a 27-year career in the Art Department for multiple productions that included commercials, television, and feature films. Notably, Philip worked on ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" for many years, and most recently, BET's " Real Hus-bands of Hollywood", and MTV's "Teen Wolf". Philip married Danielle Peterson on July 20, 2002 and they had a daughter, Madison, in 2003. An infant brother, Michael Stephen Tubach, preceded him in death. He is survived by: Danielle and Madison, of Montrose, CA, his parents, Paul and Susie Tubach, of Hiawatha, KS, brothers Douglas and Nicola Tubach, of Canton, CT and Patrick and Tanis Tubach of Novato, CA, grandmother Marjorie Wilson of Hiawatha, KS, nieces and nephews Christa and Nicholas Tubach of Canton, CT and Avery, Samuel, and Allie Tubach of Novato, CA. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for Madison's scholarship fund and can be sent c/o Patrick Tubach, 119 Van Buren Ct., Novato, CA 94947. A CA memorial service is planned at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu on Wednesday, February 12 at 1pm, where friends and family can gather and share stories and memories of Phil's life. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to send remembrances to the above address, and additional memorial services are planned for CT and KS at a later date.
