Roy moved to Big Bear Lake soon after retiring. His goal was to fish and putter around in his garage shop and work on a lifetime pile of projects. His days started with walking his dogs in the forest and on the streets near his home. He soon made friends with neighbors. One person in particular introduced him to gold prospecting, and that was the end of working on the “life” projects. He obtained a camper for his truck and a huge pile of prospecting equipment. As far as I know, he only had 2 or 3 small flakes of gold, but he was not deterred. He followed this hobby right up to the end. Also he went camping with others to Arizona and other places. He leaves behind a sister (Gail) and her family. We will all miss him and we hope he saves us a spot in Heaven.
