

Michael Junior Seefus, 67, of Burwell, Nebraska died November 4, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. Pastor Stan Gurney will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. Wednesday at Hitchcock Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Burwell Fire & Rescue.
Mike was born February 27, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska to Michael and Louise (Hertzel) Seefus. He graduated from Tech High School in Omaha. After graduation he did drywall and carpentry work and he also worked for a trash company.
Mike married Bonnie Marcoe on July 1, 1977 in Papillion, Nebraska. Mike was a chauffeur for the movie, Terms Of Endearment. This got him into working on movies. Mike and Bonnie moved to California, where he did carpentry work and he was in charge of all the tools for the sets. Bonnie died on March 15, 2012. Mike retired in 2015 and moved to his place north of Burwell.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.
Mike is survived by two brothers, Larry and Janice Seefus of Omaha, Nebraska and George and Jan Seefus of Burwell, Nebraska. A sister, Sharon and John Scruggs of Omaha, Nebraska. Nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Glenn Scruggs of Omaha, Nebraska.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Donald Hertzel and Jerry Seefus, three sisters, Loretta Villafuerte, Mary Lou Davis and Joan Scruggs.
